Fixed Fiberglass Sleeves

Fixed fiberglass sleeves are used where reliable heat resistance and mechanical protection is required. Manufactured by braiding fiberglass yarn, they provide excellent heat insulation for electrical appliances, electrical instruments, and domestic appliances.

Material

Glass fiber is commonly used as an insulating material. It is also used as a reinforcing agent for many polymer products; to form a very strong and light fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composite material called glass-reinforced plastic (GRP), popularly known as "fiberglass". Glass fiber has roughly comparable properties to other fibers such as polymers and carbon fiber. Although not as strong or as rigid as carbon fiber, it is much cheaper and significantly less brittle.

Specification

Fiberglass sleeves are manufactured by a modern continuous technological process. Internal diameter: from 0.5 to 24 mm.

Packaging

Our manufacturing process allows us to supply any hose in several coil lengths (50 m, 100 m and 200 m, depending on the size of the profile). One meter cut parts can be supplied on request.

Application

Main field of application – electric-, heat- and mechanical insulation in the manufacture and repair of electric motors, transformers, electric welding units, electric machines, lighting fittings and household electrical appliances. These products are highly flexible. The surface is smooth, non-adhesive and allows easy mounting.
